We collect many different household items for the new refugees. Here is a list of items we receive followed by more information about our hours and other specific information related to donating items.
Items we need for new refugees:
Kitchen tables and chairs
Chests of drawers or similar clothing storage
Lamps and lamp stands
Forks, knives, spoons, plates, bowls & cups
Pots, pans and baking dishes
Mixing/serving bowls, beverage pitchers and Tupperware type containers
Kitchen utensils & can openers
Sheets, blankets, & comforters for twin and double/full size beds
Paper & pen or pencil
Extra items we like to provide:
Microwaves, Vacuum Cleaners, Televisions (televisions need to be with a vcr/dvd player or compliant for new 2009 digital standards or with a converter box)
Used cars in running condition to help refugees get to employment outside the bus system
Items listed above (except cars) may be brought to the office between 9-5 Mon., Tues., Thurs. & Fri. We are closed Wednesdays. It is fine to call or email Scott ahead of time so that he can make sure someone is here to meet you. Occasionally, everyone is out helping refugees. Please call Scott at 509-734-5477 x100 or email him at email@example.com to schedule a drop off time or for more information about car donations. Unfortunately, we are not able to do furniture pick-ups at this time.
Gently used is fine for most items on the list above, but we are only able to use new car seats and pack and plays. We are unable to receive used beds or sofas.
We don’t receive appliances like stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers. Most of the refugees are placed in apartments that already have the kitchen appliances and have a laundry room on site
We do need winter coats, hats and gloves for all ages but are not able to accept other clothing donations. We ask that clothing besides winter coats be brought to St. Vincent De Paul at 120 N Morain St. (near Clearwater). They give clothing to all new refugees through a voucher from WR
We are located in the same shopping center as Chuck E. Cheese. We are on the 2nd floor above Ted Brown Music at 2600 N Columbia Center Blvd. #206, Richland WA 99352.
Thank you for caring about refugees!!
